Saving on Books

Published by aukxsona at 6:58 pm under 1 Edit This

Besides always being able to go to the library for free reads, there are several on line sources of free books available to the avid reader.  One such site is Project Gutenberg.  This site allows for free electronic books which are completely legal for download.  It is supported entirely by donations, and you could think of it as the world’s first on line library without the over due fees.

Project Gutenberg   Many of the books are copy right free and thus can be distributed in class rooms and home schools. The site gives you a list of things that have been done with their completely free works.  The site invites you to get involved to keep the first world’s on-line library completely free.

Paperback Swap   Another really awesome site where you can swap CD’s, DVD’s, and books for the cost of postage to other members.  The Paperback swap is a convenient way to receive “new” books regularly.

BookCrossing   This is a wonderful site where a book owner gets to set books out in the “wild” with a book template on it with the correct information, and then track it’s adventures.  They also have “controlled releases” to other members.
